California - The Bonny Doon “Take Me to Your Liter” is a vibrant, Rhône-inspired blend that celebrates the winery’s 40th vintage with a playful yet serious approach to winemaking. Crafted from 69% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 14% Cinsault, and 2% Petite Sirah, the wine is sourced primarily from cool-climate Monterey County vineyards, including Ventana, Alta Loma, Sweetwater, Chalk Knoll, and Rick’s, with a touch of Petite Sirah from Paso Robles. The fruit was 100% destemmed and fermented in stainless steel, with untoasted French oak staves added to enhance texture and color stability. A portion of the Cinsault was saignée’d to concentrate flavor, and the wine was aged on light lees for eight months before final blending in spring 2024 and bottling in July. The result is a juicy, expressive red with fragrant Grenache-driven fruit, balanced structure, and a fresh, food-friendly profile.
